1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how MyCubeSolver handles information when you use our website, mycubesolver.com. It describes what information is involved, what stays on your own device, and how you can contact us.
This website is operated by Spywire Technologies. Our country of business operations is Pakistan. Our privacy contact email is spymarketing777@gmail.com.
We designed this website so that it needs as little of your information as possible: there are no visitor accounts, no sign-in, and no forms that send your information to our servers (see section 3).
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to the MyCubeSolver website at mycubesolver.com only.
It does not cover the Rubik's Cube Solver Android app, which is a separate product with its own data practices. Nothing in this policy describes what the app collects or does.
It also does not cover other websites you may reach through links on this site, such as social media profiles or the Google Play store page. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to read them.
3. Information you provide
Contact form. The contact form on this website checks what you type in your browser (for example, that the email address looks valid). Please note: the current version of the website does not send form submissions to us and does not store them on our servers. When you submit, the form opens your own email application with your message addressed to spymarketing777@gmail.com, and your message is only sent if you press Send there. If no email application opens, please email us directly at spymarketing777@gmail.com.
Email correspondence. When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to include in your message. We use it only to read and respond to your message, and to handle any request you make in it, such as a privacy request under section 11. Our email address is a Gmail address, so Google processes your email as our email service provider when you write to us (see sections 8, 9 and 13).
We do not ask you to provide any other personal information on this website, and there is no way to create an account or profile here.
4. Information collected automatically
When you visit this website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) necessarily processes technical connection data in order to deliver the pages to you and protect the site. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, and the time of the request.
We do not use this technical data to identify you personally, we do not combine it with other information about you, and we do not use it for advertising. It is used only to operate, deliver, and secure the website.
This website does not run analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts in your browser, and it does not use fingerprinting or similar tracking techniques.
Separately, the site operator may review aggregate traffic information provided by Cloudflare through the hosting account, such as total visits and popular pages. That information is aggregate hosting data, not visitor-level tracking in your browser, and it does not involve analytics scripts or cookies on public pages.
5. Cube input and camera data
The online solver and the Learning Academy run entirely in your browser. The cube colours you enter and the solutions generated from them are processed on your own device and are never sent to our servers.
This website does not access your camera, microphone, or location, and it never asks your browser for those permissions. Camera scanning is a feature of the separate Android app only and is not part of this website.
Because solving happens on your device, we never see, store, or receive the cube states you enter, and we cannot recover them for you if you close the page.
6. Browser storage, cookies and similar technologies
The website stores solver and learning data in your own browser only, so that you can continue where you left off. Nothing in this storage is sent to our servers, and we cannot see it.
The site's own code sets no cookies for ordinary visitors, and the site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare, as our hosting provider, may set security cookies in your browser when its security features require them (for example, to tell real visitors apart from automated traffic); whether any such cookie is active for your visit depends on Cloudflare's security handling, which we do not control. Third-party video content may also involve cookies or identifiers when it loads (see section 8). There is currently no cookie consent banner because the site itself sets no tracking or advertising cookies; if that changes, this policy will be updated first. (The password-protected administration area, which is for the site operator only, uses its own session marker; it is never set for ordinary visitors.)
You can delete any of this stored data at any time through your browser's storage or cookie settings, or by using the reset and restart controls on the site. Deleting it only affects your own device.
- mycubesolver.cubeState.v1 (session storage): the cube colours you entered. Cleared when you close the tab.
- mycubesolver.editReturn.v1 (session storage): a one-time flag used when you return to edit your cube. Removed after use.
- mycubesolver.academy.v1 (local storage): your Learning Academy progress — the verified cube, your lesson plan, and how far you have progressed. Kept until you clear it or restart the Academy.
- mycubesolver.academyStart.v1 and mycubesolver.academyResync.v1 (session storage): one-time flags that start a fresh Academy session or re-enter your cube. Removed after use.
7. Purposes and legal bases
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on the following. Because this website collects so little, this list is short on purpose.
- Operating, delivering, and securing the website, including the hosting connection data in section 4 — our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website.
- Reading and responding to emails you send us — our legitimate interest in answering correspondence you initiate. Sending us an email is not treated as consent to any other processing.
- Running the solver and the Learning Academy in your browser at your request — functionality you ask for when you enter a cube or start a lesson. This processing happens on your device, not on our servers.
- Providing video playback you request (section 8) — loading the video from YouTube is part of the playback you ask for when you press play. Pressing play is a choice to load that video, not consent to other processing.
8. Hosting and third-party service providers
We use a small number of service providers to run this website. Only the providers below are involved in handling website visitor data, and only in the ways described.
- Cloudflare (hosting and security): delivers the website's pages and protects the site. It processes the connection data described in section 4. Cloudflare's privacy policy governs its handling of that data. The operator may also review aggregate traffic information through the Cloudflare hosting account (see section 4).
- YouTube / Google (videos only): video thumbnails are served from our own website. A video itself loads from YouTube only after you press play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed. A thumbnail image may also load from YouTube's image server without you pressing play, if our own thumbnail fails to load. When any YouTube content loads — a video after you press play, or a fallback thumbnail — Google may collect technical data, and may use cookies or identifiers, under Google's privacy policy.
- Google (email only): our contact email is a Gmail address, so Google processes emails you send us as our email service provider, under Google's privacy policy.
- GitHub (site administration only): the password-protected administration area stores the site operator's own content through GitHub. No visitor personal data is sent to GitHub by the public website.
9. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
We share information only in the limited situations below:
- With Cloudflare, as our hosting and security provider, as described in sections 4 and 8.
- With YouTube / Google, when you play a video, or when a fallback thumbnail loads from YouTube's image server, as described in section 8.
- With Google as our email provider, when you email us, as described in sections 3 and 8.
- If required by law, or to protect the security of the website, where we are legally obliged or entitled to do so.
10. Data retention and deletion
Browser storage: solver and Academy data stays on your device for the periods in section 6, and you can delete it at any time. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab; local Academy progress is kept until you clear it or restart the Academy.
Email correspondence: we keep emails you send us in our mailbox so that we can read and respond to them. We retain each conversation for 24 months after its most recent message. We review the mailbox monthly for expired correspondence and delete expired correspondence from All Mail and Trash during that review, unless an applicable legal requirement requires us to keep it. You can ask us to delete your correspondence at any time by emailing us (section 11); we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it. This schedule governs correspondence under our control; it does not govern messages in your own mailbox, or backup copies held separately by Google as our email provider. Emails are also processed by Google as our email provider, under Google's privacy policy (sections 8 and 13).
Hosting connection data: retention of the technical data in section 4 is governed by Cloudflare's practices as our hosting provider; we do not set a separate retention period for it.
Contact form entries: nothing is retained, because nothing is transmitted or stored (section 3).
11. Your privacy choices and rights
The website itself does not store personal information about you on our servers. The personal information we may hold is email correspondence you send us (section 3), which is also processed by Google as our email provider; hosting connection data is processed by Cloudflare (section 4). Subject to applicable law, you can exercise the following rights by emailing spymarketing777@gmail.com:
- Ask what personal information, if any, we hold about you in correspondence.
- Ask us to correct or delete your correspondence.
- Object to, or ask us to limit, our handling of your correspondence.
- Ask for a copy of your correspondence in a portable form, where applicable.
12. Data security
The website is served over HTTPS, and we use standard security headers to protect pages in transit. The public website has no visitor accounts or passwords to protect, which removes a common source of account risk.
The administration area is password-protected and reserved for the site operator. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so while we take reasonable steps to protect the website, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. International data processing
Spywire Technologies operates from Pakistan. Cloudflare delivers this website through a global edge network, so the technical connection data in section 4 may be routed through or processed in countries other than your own, under Cloudflare's policies.
If you email us, your message is processed by Google as our email provider and may be handled in countries other than your own, under Google's privacy policy. Apart from the hosting and email-provider processing described above, we do not transfer personal information to other countries.
14. Children's privacy
This website does not offer accounts and does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other visitor through the site itself. The Learning Academy is a browser-based learning feature: it stores only your cube and lesson progress on your own device (section 6) and collects no personal information.
A parent or guardian with a question about this policy can contact us at spymarketing777@gmail.com.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices change — for example, if we add a service that handles visitor data, such as advertising. The current version will always be published on this page, with its last-updated date below.
If a future change materially affects how your information is handled, we will update this page before the change takes effect.
16. Contact us
Questions, requests, or complaints about this policy can be sent to spymarketing777@gmail.com. You can also reach us through the contact form, which opens your own email application addressed to us (section 3).
You also have the right, if applicable law gives you that right, to complain to your local data protection authority if you believe your request has not been handled properly.
